<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a respiratory protector which can be folded evenly when storing it and can form a cup-shaped air chamber which covers the mouth and nose of a wearer when using it. <P>SOLUTION: A respiratory protector has a multilayer construction which is equipped with a reinforcement layer, a filter layer which includes a web containing a melt-blow fine fiber cluster, and a covering web. When a user wears the apparatus, the reinforcement layer is arranged outside of the filter layer to fulfill enhanced functionality, and the covering web is arranged inside of the filter layer to cover the filter layer. The multilayer construction forms a first panel 14, a central panel 12, and a second panel 16 where neither of them has a fold. The multilayer construction can be folded at each of first and second boundary lines 15, 17. Accordingly, the respiratory protector can be folded evenly and stored.
