PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparator circuit which can reduce the power consumption in a low consumption mode, while suppressing the generation of glitches during a transition period. SOLUTION: The comparator circuit 10 has a comparison core circuit part 20, a transistor M6 as a monitor circuit part, and a nonlinear amplifying circuit part 30. The comparison core circuit part 20 has transistors M1 and M3 connected to a constant current source 21. To each gate terminal of the transistors M1 and M3, voltages V1 and V2 are supplied, respectively. A source terminal and a gate terminal of the transistor M6 are identical in connection as those of a source terminal and of a gate terminal of the transistor M3. Current which flowed to the transistor M6 is supplied to the nonlinear amplifying circuit part 30. The nonlinear amplifying circuit part 30 amplifies the current supplied in a built-in constant-current source 32 and supplies it to the source terminals of the transistors M1 and M3 of the comparison core circuit part 20.
