PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus which can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: In a line sensor chip comprising a slender rectangular substrate, a plurality of longitudinal regions are formed which are arranged on the substrate in a direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction of pixels and having a longitudinal direction of the arrangement direction of the pixels, and circuits having a predetermined function for controlling the driving of the line chip sensor are arranged for each function on each of the longitudinal regions.
