PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pin connector which can be prevented from raging in an embossed tape when mounting it by an automatic mounting machine, and the height of which can be lowered. SOLUTION: This pin connector is equipped with a pin-shaped body part 13, and a flange 14a to be sucked which is formed around the girth of the body part 13 and is sucked by the automatic mounting machine. The flange 14a to be sucked has a cup-like shape the diameter of which shrinks toward the lower end side of the body part 13. A pin contact 12 is provided in the upper end part of the body part 13. A flange 14b to be soldered is provided in the lower part of the body part 13. The pin connector has no flange other than the flange 14b to be soldered and the flange 14a to be sucked.
