PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for joining metal members which can efficiently cure or semi-cure an adhesive in a joining process using a thermosetting adhesive without necessitating large equipment. SOLUTION: This method or apparatus for joining a plurality of superposed metal members 100 through interposing a thermosetting adhesive between the members comprises generating a magnetic field at the joining part of the metal members 100 by magnets 71a and 71b, generating induction currents in the metal members 100 by varying the magnetic field, and accelerating heating and curing of the thermosetting adhesive through heat evolution of the metal members 100 by the induction current.
