An ultra slim spindle motor is provided to secure a stable driving characteristics by installing a magnet on a rotor case by the medium of a back yoke made of steel. An ultra slim spindle motor(100) includes a plate(110), a bearing holder(120), an armature(150), an armature holder(140), and a rotor case(180). A connection hole(111) is formed on the plate. The armature is fixedly installed in the connection hole. A bearing(130) is installed in the bearing holder to rotatably support a rotational axis(170). The armature generates an electric field by external power. The armature holder is close in contact with an outside peripheral surface of the bearing holder at an inner peripheral surface thereof. The armature is coupled to the armature holder. The rotor case rotates by mounting a circular disk(181) and a recording medium. The rotational axis is fixed to the circular disk and the recording medium is integrated with an annular rim unit(182) made of non-magnetic light material extended to face the armature from a rim of the circular disk unit.
