<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that improves heating ability which could not be provided only by heating with warm air from a blower fan without changing the size of an indoor unit, by adding a heat generating means for radiating far-infrared rays that compensates the heating ability. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner is composed of: an outdoor unit equipped with a compressor, a four-way switch valve, a heat source side heat exchanger, and an expansion valve; and the indoor unit 2 equipped with a use-side heat exchanger 13, and blower fans 16a, 16b.
