PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera device with which a photographed still image can be watched on a personal computer without transferring data. SOLUTION: The camera device includes: a means for generating first image data (main body image file) from an image signal outputted by an imaging means that has captured a subject; a means for generating second image data (thumbnail image file) corresponding to the first image data; and a recording control means for recording the first and second image data on an optical disk in a format reproducible for an optical disk drive mounted in a personal computer. The recording control means controls to record the first image data in order from a leading side of data regions on the optical disk and to collectively record second image data of respective images on subsequent regions.
