<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately restrain the generation of a discharge phenomenon, and to restrain the density uneveness of image from becoming conspicuous. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, the period of alternating voltage is larger than the value, obtained by dividing a minimum width of a concave section in the circumferential direction of a developer bearing member by the moving velocity of a surface of the developer bearing member during rotation of the developer bearing member, and differs from both the value that is n (n=natural number) times as large as the period of superposed voltage, and the value that is 1/n (n=natural number) times as large as the period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
