<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an efficient retransmission control even when a wireless base station and a wireless terminal establish wireless communication through a relay station. <P>SOLUTION: In a relay method by the relay station which is interposed between the wireless base station and the wireless terminal and performs relay process of wireless signals, when data transmitted from the wireless base station or the wireless terminal is received, stored, relay-transmitted to the wireless terminal or the wireless base station and then retransmitted, it is retransmitted by using the relay station as a starting point.
