<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a mechanism of high reliability for an electronic card connector so made not to have an operating member protruded by being pushed, in a state in which a card is not mounted. <P>SOLUTION: A heart-shaped cam groove 50 of a rail 42 of a main body 40 has an extended valley groove 61 extended in a Y1 direction from a valley groove 51. At an end of a strip protrusion 91 of an ejection bar 90, a slanted guide end face 93 is formed. When a card is not mounted, a cam follower 104 moves inside the extended valley groove 61 and returns to the valley groove 51 in case a preliminary operation is carried out. When the card is mounted, the ejection bar 90 moves and is positioned near the valley groove 51.
