<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic blackboard system capable of being intuitively and easily operated even when a plurality of users use it simultaneously. <P>SOLUTION: In the electronic blackboard system, a display device 801 comprises: control means 806 for controlling a document displayed on display means 803; and input device discriminating means 805 for performing communication of inherent input device discriminator information possessed by an input device 802 between it and the input device 802. The input device 802 includes input device discriminating means 808 for performing communications of the input device discriminator information among a plurality of input devices or between it and the display device 801.
