<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably improve user convenience by achieving multi-functioning using irreducibly minimum input keys in small-sizing. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal comprises: a freely rotatable and roughly cylindrical soft key 31 composed of a main soft key element to be switched by pressing the center part, to which a function is allocated, and a first auxiliary soft key element and a second auxiliary soft key element respectively switched by pressing both end parts, to which functions different from the function of the main soft key element are allocated; a display screen 2 for displaying icons; and a control means for shifting to a different using state by rotating the soft key or pressing the main soft key element or pressing the first auxiliary soft key element or the second auxiliary soft key element from the function and selecting the function, allocating the corresponding function to the main soft key element, the first auxiliary soft key element or the second auxiliary soft key element and displaying a main function icon, a first auxiliary function icon or a second auxiliary function icon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
