PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve case preventing the loss of a lid body and smoothly opening/closing the lid body in operating an on-off valve. SOLUTION: The valve case comprises the lid body placed on a receiving part of an opening at the upper end of a cylindrical lifting cylinder body 5, to close the opening. A pair of vertical grooves 11 is formed downward from a position right under the receiving part of the lifting cylinder body 5 to engage both lower end sides of a connecting fitting 10 to guide the movement of the connecting fitting 10. Locking parts 13 are formed at the upper ends of the vertical grooves 11 to prevent both lower end sides of the connecting fitting 10 from slipping out upward, and an overhanging part 26 parallel with the vertical grooves 11 and pointing in a vertical direction is formed at a middle part between the two vertical grooves 11, 11 on the inner surface of the lifting cylinder body 5. The connecting fitting 10 is provided at its lower end with claw parts 14 overhanging onto both sides to be engaged with the vertical grooves 11, and comprises a lower connecting member 15 formed with a recess 25 at the center to be engaged with the overhanging part 26 to prevent torsion in the vertical groove 11, and an upper connecting member 18 pivotally connected to the upper end of the lower connecting member 15.
