PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-based powdery mixture for powder metallurgy in which the segregation of the added and mixed various powders is reduced owing to the excellent fluidity thereof. SOLUTION: When iron-based powders whose surfaces are stuck with powders for alloying and/or powders for improving machinability by a binder composed of oleic acid and zinc stearate are mixed with zinc stearate powders having a specific surface area satisfying the range of 1.0 to 10 m<SP>3</SP>/g, an iron-based powder mixture for powder metallurgy in which the segregation of the added and mixed various powders is reduced owing to the excellent fluidity thereof can be obtained.
