PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolymer of an olefin-based monomer having high copolymerization activity with a reactive emulsifier, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This olefin-based copolymer is obtained in a high efficiency by using the reactive emulsifier (the reactive emulsifier having high copolymerization activity) obtained by selecting a copolymerizable functional group presenting in its molecule suitably in copolymerizing the olefin-based monomer with the reactive emulsifier in the presence of a coordination polymerization catalyst.
