PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the set amount of inclination of a mirror main body freely. SOLUTION: In a method for changing the set amount of inclination of the outer mirror controller 30 of the vehicle, the operation of the controller 30 is set at an inclination amount setting mode when an external signal is inputted through an external signal inputting wire by predetermined inclination amount setting mode setting operation, the inclination amount data related to amount of inclination is continuously changed in the inclination amount setting mode, next a set value is decided based on the changing inclination amount data, and then the set inclination amount data stored in a set inclination amount data storing means 31b is rewritten by the inclination amount data used to decide the set value, thereby releasing the inclination amount setting mode.
