The present invention is directed to a card with a color-shifting film and a method of making same. The card comprises a substrate layer having a thermoplastic surface, a color-shifting film comprising a plurality of openings, and a top layer having first and second thermoplastic surfaces, wherein the color-shifting film is laminated between the thermoplastic surface of the substrate layer and the first thermoplastic surface of the top layer at elevated temperature and pressure.
