A backlight unit is provided to ensure reliability of a portable phone by enhancing stiffness without increasing a thickness of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display). A backlight unit comprises a first light blocking tape(100), a main optical sheet(200) disposed in the rear of the first light blocking tape, a light guide plate(300) contacted with the main optical sheet, plural sub optical sheets(500) contacted with the light guide plate, a first chassis(600) contacted with the sub optical sheet, and a second chassis(660) contacted with the first chassis. In a side of the light guide plate, a frame(400) is disposed in a form of surrounding the light guide plate and the main optical sheet. In the rear of the sub optical sheet, a second light blocking tape(160) and a sub frame(700) are disposed. Only a transflective sheet(510) directly contacted with the light guide plate among the plural sub optical sheets has the same size as the main optical sheet. The rest sub optical sheets(520) have a size smaller than an opening formed in the first chassis. In the first chassis, a guide unit(620) is formed so as for a protrusion unit(522) of the rest sub optical sheets to be accurately attached. |
