A cockroach trap designed in consideration of behaviors of cockroaches is provided to cause more cockroaches to be trapped voluntarily into the device where cockroach-friendly environment is created. A cockroach trap(20) comprises: a capturing case(100) with a height-adjustable entrance; an illuminating unit(110); a light shielding part(120); a capturing unit(130) with an insect capturing adhesive face; and a sensor(140). The capturing case is made of light-impermeable materials. The entrance is designed in consideration of behaviors of cockroaches, that is, it is relatively wide in the horizontal direction and has a relatively narrow slit in the vertical direction. The entrance is height adjustable according to the kind of cockroaches to capture. An angle(theta) between the bottom of the capturing case and the ground is less than 90 degrees.
