<p>An adaptive modulation part (1) uses a modulation scheme, which is selected based on a modulation mode, to modulate a signal. A switch (2) selects a radio system that is suitable for that modulation scheme. If the selected radio system is a single-carrier system, a single-carrier generating part (3) generates a single-carrier signal. If the selected radio system is a multicarrier system, a multicarrier generating part (4) generates a multicarrier signal. A quadrature modulation part (5) converts the generated single-carrier or multicarrier signal to a carrier band signal, which is then amplified by a transmission amplifier (6).</p> |
