PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus by which tilt correction is made possible without reduction of an angle of field and missing of an image. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus generates image data of a subject, and has: a recording means for recording a recording image obtained by performing predetermined processing to the image data; a reproduction means for reproducing the recorded image recorded in the recording means; and a processing means for processing the image, wherein the recording means records the recorded image and surrounding images of the recorded image, the reproduction means reproduces an original image by combining the recorded image with the surrounding images of the recorded image, the processing means generates an output image from the restored original image and the recording means records the output image. Since the original image is restored by compositing the surrounding images of the recorded image at the time of reproduction and rotation correction is performed using the restored original image as an input, reduction of the angle of field and missing of the image are not caused.
