PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct distortion aberration of an optical system, while suppressing the reduction in the access speed of a memory. SOLUTION: A distortion aberration correction processing apparatus 14 includes a DRAM 4 and an SRAM 5 for storing an object image from the optical system 1. Furthermore, the distortion aberration correction processing apparatus 14 includes a first address control circuit 8 which reads out pixels in the DRAM 4 along a curve, corresponding to distortion aberrations of the optical system on a unit basis of an area consisting of a plurality of pixels and writes the read-out pixels into the SRAM 5; and a second address control circuit 9, which reads out pixels in the SRAM 5 on a pixel basis and outputs the read-out pixels to an output part 12 so as to suppress the distortion aberrations of the optical system. The first address control circuit 8 effects control so that signals on an area basis are read out sequentially in a prescribed order, and the second address control circuit 9 effects random access control.
