PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device that can achieve good steering feeling by suppressing regenerative braking action generated in a motor at the non-assist-giving side. SOLUTION: A rack actuator 23 functions as a main actuator, and a column actuator 24 as a sub-actuator. When a required assist force is within the range of the forces that the rack actuator 23 can provide, an assist force is given only by the rack actuator 23. When the assist force is given only by the rack actuator 23, (a microcomputer 42 of) a column ECU 32, which controls the operation of the column actuator 24, calculates a regeneration current compensation component Ireg* for canceling a regeneration current which is generated in a motor 22 of the column actuator 24.
