PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact container which can be assembled without the need of large force and hence provides improved work efficiency for the assembling. SOLUTION: The compact container A has: a container body 1 of a compact; a lid body 2 hinged to the end part 1a on the rear side of the container body and configured so as to be opened and closed; an opening/closing member 3 disposed at the end part 1b on the front side of the container body 1 for keeping a closed state by locking a hook 8 provided on the lid body 2 when the lid body 2 is closed and opening the lid body 2 by unlocking the hook 8 accompanying an opening operation from the outside; and an energizing member 4 for energizing the opening/closing member 3 so as to keep the locking state with the hook 8 provided on the lid body. A housing recessed part 15 for housing the opening/closing member 3 allowing movements in front and back directions is formed at the end part 1b on the front side of the container main body 1, an engaging hook 16 is formed on the side face of the housing recessed part 15, and a locking hook 17 formed in a cantilever shape to be engaged with the engaging hook 16 and locked is formed on the side face of the opening/closing member 3.
