PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the smooth and easier transportation of a stretcher being dragged even on carpet surfaces or on stair cases within rooms, on the surfaces of roads or the like while allowing it to be placed safely at various locations without paying no attentions to where to place. SOLUTION: In the construction of a stretcher 1 which has a mattress 2 where a person H to be transported is placed and members for transportation 3, etc. provided at least for the mattress 2, the stretcher is provided with the mattress 2 where the person H to be transported is placed, a base panel 4 made of a synthetic resin which is formed in the size almost equal to the mattress 2 with a prescribed thickness Ld and a proper flexibility and mounted on the mattress 2 as it remains laid under the mattress 2 and the members 3, etc. mounted by utilizing the base panel 4.
