<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device and a method for repairing its defective pixel. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a first insulating substrate; gate wires and storage wires formed on the first insulating substrate and arranged substantially in parallel to a first direction; data wires insulated from the gate wires and the storage wires and intersecting them, and arranged substantially in a second direction; and pixel electrodes formed on a pixel region defined by the gate wires and the data wires; wherein the storage wire includes a horizontal section arranged substantially in the first direction and not overlapping with the pixel electrode, and a vertical section branching from the horizontal section substantially to the second direction and overlapping with the data wire.
