PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce image defects in an ink-jet printer. SOLUTION: An ink-jet drive signal is generated with a starting voltage and particular resolution. The ink-jet drive signal for selectively discharging ink from ink jet according to the drive signal is combined with the ink jet, and the ink is discharged from the ink jet. Thus, the ink-jet normalizing method including detecting whether the continuity of a line formed on an ink receiver is actually continuous or not and the ink-jet image formation apparatus are formed.
