EXTRACTION/SEPARATION METHOD OF URANIUM COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently extracting/separating uranium compounds from nuclear fuel waste or the like through carbon dioxide of a super-critical state as a medium, even when a satisfactory result is not obtained by the conventional method.

SOLUTION: This extraction/separation method of the uranium compounds comprises a process of measuring the pH of solution or suspension of uranium compound containing material; a process of adjusting the moisture content (mass%): y and the pH: and the moisture content so as to establish y≤7.5, when 0< x≤5.3, or establish y≤-2.1x + 18.7, when 5.3 < x≤8.9 by drying the uranium compound containing material; and a process of extracting/separating the uranium compound from the uranium compound containing material whose moisture content is adjusted with supercritical carbon dioxide containing nitric acid-tributyl phosphate complex.
