<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer ring for an oscillating bearing superior in accuracy, reduced in cost, and having high a load capacity. <P>SOLUTION: This outer ring 11 for the oscillating bearing includes a raceway surface 12 on the inner diameter side, and has collars 13a and 13b formed by bending both ends in the axial direction to the inner diameter side. The carbon content of a material used for the outer ring 11 for the oscillating bearing is set to 0.5 to 1.1 wt.%. Thus, workability is improved, and an external shape can be accurately formed by press working. Hardness required as the outer ring 11 for the oscillating bearing can also be obtained without applying carburization quenching treatment. Thus, the deformation of the outer ring 11 for the oscillating bearing in heat treatment can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
