PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information equipment that enables a viewer to view an interrupted program without missing even a part of the program under viewing immediately after the end of an interruption cause even if the viewing of a television program by the viewer is interrupted due to a phone call or a visitor. SOLUTION: The information equipment provided with a means that records and reproduces a received video signal comprises: a recording medium for performing video recording; a means that detects a video recording start signal when the video image of the received video signal is directly displayed so as to automatically start the video recording of the displayed video signal; and a means that reproduces video recording information during video recording when detecting a video recording reproduction start signal during the video recording and records following video signals during the video recording in parallel.
