PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus in which a recording medium can be surely ejected outside an apparatus body even if the recording medium is, for example, stained. SOLUTION: A CD player 1 as the information processing apparatus reads the information recorded in a CD 2 by loading/unloading the CD 2 to/from the apparatus body 3, The CD player 1 includes a conveyance unit 5 and a pressing mechanism 8. The conveyance unit 5 conveys the CD 2 into and out of the apparatus body 3. The pressing mechanism 8 drives the conveyance unit 5 in ejecting the CD 2 outside the apparatus body 3, and presses the CD 2 outside the apparatus body 3 when the conveyance unit and the CD 2 slide with each other.
