PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a tripod kit from falling off from an outer ring. SOLUTION: This tripod type constant velocity universal joint comprises the outer ring 10 having three track grooves 14 in the inner periphery extending to the axial direction and roller guide faces formed on side walls facing the track grooves 14, a tripod member 20 having three trunnion journals 26 protruded to the radial direction, and rollers 30 rotatably supported by the trunnion journals 26 and stored in the track grooves 14 of the outer ring 10.
