PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replacement and construction method for a column having stable quality without being influenced by physical property of an object ground even when replacement columns are constructed substantially in contact with each other or the replacement columns are constructed to overlap each other. SOLUTION: In constructing a subsequent replacement column substantially in contact with or overlap the preceding replacement column before a filler is not yet set after the preceding replacement column is constructed, a screw auger with a casing is used and the screw auger is rotated normally to excavate with the casing part left non-rotatable or rotated in the reverse direction. A filler, which does not contain sediment and aggregate, and whose consistency in mixing up or construction has a table blow value ranging from 150 to 400 mm, is discharged from the tip of the screw auger in a desired timing to construct the subsequent column after upper ground soil is replaced with the filler from the replacement bottom position of the column.
