<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information medium with characters and/or images printed thereon, and free from an ink blur and unevenness in glossiness, excellent in moisture resistance and causing no errors in reading information, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information medium with characters and/or images printed thereon has a recording layer on a translucent substrate, to the layer where information can be recorded or reproduced by the irradiation with laser light, and an ink reception layer on the surface opposite to the surface on which the laser light is incident. In this case, the characters and/or images are printed, with a water-based ink, on the ink reception layer, and a transparent ink or a white pigment ink is fixed to the part of the ink reception layer with no characters and/or images printed thereon, and a difference in ink fixability per one centimeter square between optional two places in the ink reception layer is 50% or below in the whole surface of the ink reception layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
