<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of printing over the number of printable sheets at need while maintaining the effect of a department management control. <P>SOLUTION: In a table 21, the number of printable sheets for each predetermined limit unit (day)is stored as a limited number of sheets. A CPU 6 counts sheets (prints) subjected to image formation on each day of a week. After the number of prints for one of the days has reached the limited number of sheets predetermined for the day, printing is carried out by the number of sheets to be successively printed based on a printing instruction, using the limited number of sheets predetermined for another day, based on the permission by the CPU 6. In this case, the entire limited number of sheets predetermined for one week is fixed in the table 21, wherein the number exceeding the limited number of sheets predetermined for one day is compensated for successive printing by the limited number of sheets predetermined for another day. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
