PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform signal level control rather not by units of carrier waves, but by units of subbands and reduce the control load. SOLUTION: An electric power line communication device uses electric power lines as signal transmission lines and has a transmission means 20 for transmitting signals using a plurality of carrier waves in a specified frequency band and a control means 40 for controlling the signal levels of transmission signals. The control means divides the frequency band that is used for signal transmission into a plurality of subbands and manges them, and controls the signal levels of transmission signals by subband units.
