PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathing device for nursing care which permits a bed-ridden aged person and a sick person requiring nursing care to take a bath in a supine posture and permit the patient's back to be sufficiently washed and massaged. SOLUTION: The bathing device has an oblong bathtub 2 which permits a user M to take a bath in a supine posture. A pillow portion 10 to support the head H of the user lying on his back is installed at one end of the interior of the bathtub, and an expanding and contracting mat 13 having a plurality of balloons 14a, 14b, 14c and 14d contacting the back of the user lying on the back arranged side by side is laid on the bottom of the bathtub 2 provided with a cover 8 openably covering the top face of the bathtub with the periphery of the pillow portion opened, the balloons of expansion and contraction mat cause parts where the balloons contact the user's back or the parts where the balloons separate from the user's back by independently being expanded or contracted by the injection or discharge of air.
