PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily achieve satisfactory deployment characteristics of an air bag being favorable for an occupant on the front passenger seat. SOLUTION: When folding up the air bag 11, a first or third piece part like a flat plate extending radially from a gas introducing part 31 is first formed. Each piece part is wound up to form first or third accumulation parts 61, 62, 63. The first accumulation part 61 positioned at the center is folded up in such a way that it is put on the second and third accumulation parts 62, 63. When gas is introduced from the gas introducing part 31, the first accumulation part 61 is first inflated to pull up a front part 41. Next, the second and third accumulation parts 62, 63 pressed down by the first accumulation part 61 are inflated.
