The invention relates to a device for powering and controlling (100) an audible warning device (1) particularly for a motor vehicle, said warning device (1) being connected to a DC power source (110) and including at least one electronic control card (20) and a magnet coil (30) which is controlled by said card (20) and which can vibrate an oscillating membrane in order to produce a sound. The invention is characterised in that the power source (110) is only connected to the magnet coil (30) which in turn is directly connected to the electronic control card (20) in order to power same.
