<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for forming an image capable of preventing the revocation of image data exceeding the number of printable sheets set at every user while maintaining the effect of a department managing function. <P>SOLUTION: In each composite machine 1 for the system for forming the image, the number (a limited number) of sheets of paper printable at every user is set. In the composite machine 1A, another composite machine 1 usable by the user is retrieved from other composite machines 1 connected on a LAN 2 when a printing number by the user reaches the limited number allocated to the user.
