<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable good inflation and deployment of a curtain airbag while preventing an upper edge trim material or a part thereof from being greatly moved into a vehicle cabin or being broken. <P>SOLUTION: A trim member U1 including the upper edge trim material UTR along the upper edge part of a window glass G3 is fixed to a vehicle body. A curtain airbag KB in a folded state is arranged above the upper edge trim material UTR. A vertical wall part 40 as an airbag intrusion prevention part is formed on the upper face of a part in the upper edge trim material UTR near the curtain airbag KB in a folded state. When the curtain airbag KB is inflated and deployed, the vertical wall part 40 regulates the entry of the curtain airbag KB into a space S between the upper edge trim material UTR and a counter panel member 21 located above the upper edge trim material. Simultaneously, the curtain airbag KB is inflated and deployed so as to cover at least a part of the window glass G3 from the inside of the vehicle cabin by deforming the vehicle-body outside end-edge part of a roof trim RT while directing it toward the inside of the vehicle cabin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
