<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve estimation accuracy of hydrogen concentration of an anode-side electrode in response to different situations, in a fuel cell system. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU is provided with a hydrogen concentration estimation means estimating hydrogen concentration of an anode-side electrode of a fuel cell stack. The hydrogen concentration estimation means estimates NH partial pressure being non-hydrogen-gas partial pressure of the anode-side electrode by different methods according to a plurality of kinds of different operation states in a state immediately after startup, in a normal operation state, in stopping power generation of an intermittent operation and in a state immediately before startup, and estimates the hydrogen concentration of the anode-side electrode from the estimation value of the NH partial pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
