<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulation displacement device capable of insulation-displacing a connector efficiently by arranging a plurality of electric wires in a row, and to provide an insulation displacement method using the same, in particular, the insulation displacement device and the insulation displacement method using this which are effective for a wiring method of one-line letter form. <P>SOLUTION: Each one end of a plurality of electric wires 3 is fixed with a prescribed intervals between each other, and the other end of the plurality of wires 3 are applied with a prescribed tension so that the electric wires 3 may be extended in straight line keeping the prescribed intervals.
