PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous film excellent in permeation performance and mechanical strength and excellent in resistance to film breakage at a high temperature, a separator for nonaqueous electrolyte cells composed of the porous film and the nonaqueous electrolyte cell having the separator for nonaqueous electrolyte cells.
