<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a systematic data erasing system with encryption for easily erasing data in order to prevent data leakage and provided with a strong data erasing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the data erasing system with encryption, the hard disk of a personal computer is encrypted and then characters ("FF" and "00" or the like) are overwritten. Data contents are prevented from being read by encrypting them and read from remaining magnetism by overwriting the characters ("FF" and "00" or the like), thereby ensuring double safety.
