<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate protection to a driver sitting at a position referred to as a sitting portion out of an appropriate position (OOP). <P>SOLUTION: An extension cushion airbag comprises an outer chamber formed to receive a gas with an expansion volume. The outer chamber has a front panel and a rear panel. The extension cushion airbag also comprises an inner chamber formed at least partly of the front panel of the outer chamber and at least partly formed of a front panel patch attached to the front panel.
