<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for volume reduction treatment of waste plastics where, upon treatment for waste plastics, in the case volume reduction molding using a screw is performed for solving the problem that bulk specific gravity is low and the volume to be treated is large, the reduction in the volume of plastics is performed without requiring a complicated foreign matter sorting treatment stage before carrying out compression molding. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to the device for volume reduction treatment where the inside of a cylindrical casing having a feed port and a discharge port for waste plastics is provided with a single-shaft screw, and waste plastics is compressed by the rotation of the screw, so as to be subjected to volume reduction treatment.
