PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter which suppresses the deterioration of modulation precision while suppressing the peak power of a modulation signal and also reduces out-band radiation. SOLUTION: The transmitter, which is provided with a transmission signal generating means for performing predetermined transmission signal generation processing for a digital modulation signal, is provided with: a distortion component generating means (non-linear processing unit (21); a subtraction unit (22); subtraction unit (24); a filter unit (23)) for generating an out-of-band distortion component which is generated when the transmission signal generating means performs the transmission signal generation processing on an input signal on the basis of the digital modulation signal that is the input signal, and non-linear information, being acquired beforehand, indicative of input/output characteristics of the transmission signal generating means; and a subtraction unit (25) for subtracting the out-of-band distortion component generated by the distortion component generating means from the digital modulation signal inputted to the distortion component generating means. The transmission signal generating means performs the transmission signal generation processing on the digital modulation signal from which the distortion component has been subtracted.
