A short-circuit current can be suppressed as a resistance value of the P channel MOS transistor 110 for voltage control increases because an additional control voltage Va whose value becomes larger as a voltage value of the input voltage Vin becomes larger is input to the P channel MOS transistor 110 for voltage control from a MOS transistor 160 for transistor control in case of the short-circuit failure. Accordingly, a current value of a holding current and the released heat after operating short-circuit protection can be more reduced as the input voltage Vin becomes larger.
